The Data Clerk will be responsible for providing a supportive office administrative function to the Ministry, ensuring that computerised records
are captured accurately and maintained in the prescribed manner. The position requires extensive contact with medical and health staff.
 
Key focus areas include:
  • Providing data entry services into the PMTCT s' data management system.
  • Ensuring that confidentiality of data collected and storage are maintained.
  • Assuring protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back- up per day.
  • Assisting in developing improved patient records management when and where necessary.
  • Consulting with system IT and program administrators for troubleshooting database problems.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to- date data.
  • Attending required data entry trainings and meetings and providing input to enhance data systems.
  • Generating statistical and data reports as required and distributing to Districts, Regional and National level staff.
  • Producing automated reports on request.
  • Travel extensively to enter data at sites with backlog.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:
  • A minimum of Grade 12 with at least 25 points.
  • 1 - 2 years of working experience in Data entry and management.
  • Computer literacy and data entry experience.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work in a team.

The Customer Care Centre Clerk handles all incoming orders and provides the customer with information on a product or service. The environment is typically fast-paced and high-energy, and an order clerk must be comfortable juggling a multitude of tasks at the same time. The Customer Care Centre Clerk must be detail oriented and accurate in taking orders, replacing out of stocks, communicating with customers for changes on orders, sell actively African Marketing products and must be able to do invoicing of picked customer orders.

Essential job functions:

  • Correctly capture all orders received via email, fax, Sales Reps as well as walk in customers, pass on and follow up on special instructions
  • Contact key customers according to set schedule to obtain their stock requirements
  • Process quotations, send to customers and follow up if no order is received. Notify sales representative of orders not received
  • Ensure correct pricing on all quotes and orders
  • Ensure that the correct information is captured on the orders (i.e. account details)
  • Communicate regularly with debtors department regarding accounts on hold
  • Keep abreast of new products and promotions and communicate those to customers as required
  • Handles customer complaints
  • Strives to sell customer additional merchandise
