Financial Manager 
(1 x Windhoek)

Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee cash book entries and bank reconciliations;
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts;
• Vat reconciliations, returns and reviews;
• Invoicing of certain AR and AP for intercompany and external purposes;
• Comparing and reconciling intercompany and external AR and AP accounts;
• Oversee debtors’ function - invoicing, debtor's statements, collection and journals;
• Oversee creditors function - processing, reconciliations and journals;
• Clearing suspense accounts and completion of month-end processing;
• Preparing ledgers, fire reports and trial balances;
• Cash flow analysis and projection;
• Preparation, review and commenting on monthly fire reports;
• Assisting with quarterly preparation of budgets, forecasts and reporting on variances;
• Maintaining of systems and accounting practices;
• Prepare annual income tax calculations and submissions;
• Monthly and year-end financial reporting and preparation of management accounts;
• Provide and interpret financial information;
• Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends;
• Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risks;
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
• Manage budgets, company financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
• Liaising with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out;
• Manage, train, motivate and supervise employees in the finance department;
• Review and assist management with quarterly preparation of budgets, forecasts and reporting on variances;
• Various ad hoc accounting duties;
• Review of general ledger reconciliations and files; and
• Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

• Ability to prioritize and manage time;
• Handle pressure and keeping to deadlines;
• Positive attitude with leadership skills;
• Ability to operate independently and in a team;
• Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees, including financial and non-financial knowledge;

Qualifications and Experience:
• Accounting Qualification: B. Accounting, B. Com (or similar);
• At least three (3) years’ accounting experience on managerial level; 
• Article experience with a registered audit firm; 
• Sound knowledge of the International Accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS & IFRS);
• Namibian taxation proficiency;
• Knowledge and proficiency with ITAS online system;
• Computer literate including Accounting Software, CaseWare and Excel;
• Proficient knowledge of core accounting packages;
• A minimum requirement to be considered as a possible shortlisted candidate for the vacant position will be that the applicant must successfully pass the “Trustco Group Integrated Annual Reports Test” which will consist of multiple-choice questions from the annual report of the group and its segments.
