Namdock is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Trainee Project Estimator (2 positions) based in Walvis Bay. This opportunity is ideal for graduates or experienced individuals looking to grow their careers within the marine and engineering environment.
🎯 Primary Purpose of the Position
To assist the Superintendent: Estimations in preparing reasonable and accurate estimates for tenders and projects for Namdock.
✅ Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1: Graduate Entry
Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, or Technical Drawing, plus
Diploma at NQF Level 6 or Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in:
Mechanical Engineering
Marine Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Quantity Surveying
Or a related discipline
No prior work experience required
OR
Option 2: Diploma with Experience
Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, or Technical Drawing, plus
Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering (NQF 6)
Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in:
Ship repair estimations, or
Quantity surveying, or
Marine or mechanical engineering environment
OR
Option 3: Degree with Experience
Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, or Technical Drawing, plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering (NQF 7)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in:
Marine engineering
Mechanical maintenance
Project estimation environment
