Capitec Bank Namibia is currently recruiting a Universal Consultant (RB4–RB6) for its Oranjemund Branch. This role is ideal for customer-focused professionals with banking, sales, and customer service experience who are passionate about delivering excellent client experiences.
📌 Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive banking services by engaging customers to understand their needs, delivering efficient solutions, and identifying opportunities for digital banking education, cross-selling, and upselling, while complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
🛠Key Responsibilities
A) Customer Engagement & Segmentation

Analyse customer needs based on life stage and business cycle

Respond to customer enquiries and service demands
-
Verify customer regulatory status
-
Update customer records and system notes
-
Adhere to all risk, compliance, and regulatory standards
-
Provide financial education and literacy where required
B) General Banking Services
-
Link and delink accounts to cards
-
Order replacement debit and credit cards
-
Process Visa card limit increases and decreases
-
Handle fixed savings account transactions
-
Process stop orders, stop payments, and standing instructions
-
Attend to balance enquiries and provisional statements
-
Process value and non-value transactions
-
Ensure customer complaints and queries are logged and resolved within agreed timelines
-
Educate customers on self-service and digital banking platforms
C) Account Opening
-
Assist with account openings in line with FAIS and compliance requirements
-
Ensure all documentation and application forms are complete
-
Educate customers on account-related risks and compliance procedures
-
Refer credit-related matters to the relevant credit officials
D) Cross-Selling & Sales Opportunities
-
Actively promote and sell bank products and services
-
Identify and refer sales leads to relevant departments
-
Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional activities
-
Promote digital and self-service banking channels
-
Capture and update customer information accurately
-
Identify additional customer needs during engagements
E) Reporting & Feedback
-
Log customer complaints and compliments accurately
-
Collect and submit customer feedback as required
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) – required
-
Post-matric qualification (NQF Level 5) such as a Diploma or Degree – added advantage
Experience

1–2 years experience in:

Personal Banking

Teller services
-
Sales and customer enquiries

Customer service
