Bakery Production Assistant – Ohlthaver & List (Windhoek)

Ohlthaver & List (O&L), a leading and diversified Namibian business group, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Bakery Production Assistant based in Windhoek, Khomas Region. This is a permanent, full-time role within the bakery production environment.

Purpose of the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a range of high-quality bakery products by consistently following approved production recipes and standards, in order to meet customer requirements and support operational efficiency and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • National Senior Level Certificate (Grade 12)

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a bakery or retail environment

Advantageous Qualification

  • A diploma or short course in bakery production will be considered an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce bakery products in accordance with established quality and consistency standards

  • Accurately measure ingredients and follow production recipes

  • Ensure weight control and product quality throughout the production process

  • Attend to customer orders in a timely and professional manner

  • Implement effective stock rotation in line with the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principle

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and food safety

  • Comply with all health and safety regulations applicable to the bakery department

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • The position is subject to pre-employment screening and vetting

  • Shortlisted candidates may be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct issued by the Namibian Police, not older than six (6) months
