Minimum  requirements:  

  • A  Bachelor  Degree  on  NQF  Level  7  in  Information Technology,  Computer  Science,  Information  System  Management,  System Administration,  Network  Engineering  or  equivalent  plus  six  (6)  years  appropriate  ICT experience  of  which  three  (3)  years  must  be  at  supervisory  level.

following challenging career opportunity for a suitable candidate in Walvis Bay.  

The position’s main responsibilities are:

 

  • Observe the loading of goods on the truck and ensure that goods are stacked, secured properly and that the correct quantities are loaded.
  • Check truck and equipment before every departure.
  • Ensure that truck is serviced at specified intervals and report other repairs to be performed.
  • Transport goods to final destination, assist with unloading goods and perform quantity checks.
  • Document damages/shortages and report to supervisor.
  • Record freight information along with distance travelled and fuel on trip sheets.
  • Obtain signatures from the party to whom the goods have been delivered to and ensure that complete and correct border documents are submitted.
  • Keep the truck in a clean and neat condition.

The suitable candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:
 

  • Namibian Citizen with a valid passport
  • Code 14, CE Driver’s licence (Minimum of 5 years old) and a valid PDP (Dangerous Goods).
  • Minimum of Five years’ experience and sound knowledge of Cross-Border operations and the documentation process.
  • Must have good knowledge of destinations:  Namibia, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
  • Must have high attention to detail.
  • Must have sober habits.
  • Must have a valid code of conduct not older than 3 months (Police Clearance).

Opportunity | Duty Description

Above mentioned position is vacant at our Jet-X Couriers Windhoek Prosperita Depot. The F.P du Toit Transport Group is in existence since 1968 and diversified over time from a solely longhaul operation to one which now includes Jet-X Couriers (an express road and air courier service) Pro Parcel (a part-load distribution operation), and as well as Wesbank Transport (our newly acquired full-load and abnormal division). This is in line with our strategy to offer our clients a complete range of services to satisfy all their logistical requirements. This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and is based in Windhoek.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:

Complete documentation (Invoice and POD)
Capturing and printing of invoices daily
Scan processed invoices & proof of deliveries daily
Daily forwarding of proof of deliveries & invoices to our esteemed clientele
Ensure that all waybills are followed up where documents are not received
Other general administrative duties in line with the responsibilities of an Invoicing clerk

The suitable applicant will have:
A valid Grade 12 (with at least 23 points)
2-3 years’ applied experience
Basic computer skills, knowledge in Parcel Perfect will be a distinct advantage
