Opportunity | Duty Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the Mechanic, the purpose of this position will be but not limited is to assist in a variety of diesel, auto and small engine; to independently perform routine mechanical repair and maintenance work.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Essential Job Functions  

  • Fuel, grease, lubricate vehicles and other internal compensation equipment. Service batteries and other parts.
  • Performs safety inspections on vehicles and equipment; perform routine repair work for supervisor.
  • Change and repair tires, install and service batteries, spark plugs, light bulbs, fan belts and other simple mechanical parts.

  • Assist the mechanics in the performance of mechanical repairs as required.
  • Pick up and deliver vehicle parts, supplies and vehicles.
  • Repair minor vehicle damage; replace broken windows; touch up minor scrapes and dents; clean, sew, repair upholstery.
  • Clean garage, dump trash, sweep and mop floors
  • Perform a variety of operations and maintenance duties which involve working with combustibles, asbestos or other hazardous materials and may require the appropriate use of safety equipment and disposal procedures.
  • Operate vehicles on public roadways.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience Required: One year of experience maintaining and servicing automotive equipment.
  • Grade 10
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, inspect and service vehicles. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, hearing conversations and other sounds (air leaks, rattles, etc.) near/far visual acuity/depth perception.
  • Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance

JOB TITLE: Branch Administrator

Location: Swakopmund

Main duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage office administration and company policy compliance. 

• Assist with branch operation administration duties.

• Act as branch coordinator with Head Office. 

• Assist and ensure employee registration and termination for Medical Aid, Social Security (SSC) and Inland Revenue (Tax)

• Assist with monthly submission of Social Security (SSC) and Tax returns

• Assist in completing Social Security (SSC) claim forms (Maternity, Long-term sick leave And Retirement forms) 

• Liaise with employees on basic payroll related queries

• Assist with sorting payroll documentation and distribution such as Pension Statements, Nampost Investment letter, Medical Aid booklets, PAYE 5 certificates

• Assist with completing and submitting pension withdrawal claims

• Assist with ensuring payroll documentation is duly authorized prior to input and follow up on any outstanding or incomplete documents with the HR Practitioners

• Assist with processing basic payroll information such as loading new employees, unpaid leave etc. and print related reports

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12

• Certificate in Finance/Accounting/Administration (NQF Level 5)

• Minimum 1 year Payroll Administration experience

• Experience in related systems will be an added advantage [e.g., Sage 300 People or Sage VIP]

• Fully computer literate in Microsoft
