Opportunity | Duty Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain the village’s water supply and sewerage systems and ensure smooth operation and maintenance thereof.

MAIN PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Cleans the sewerage systems and lines.
• Unblocks the sewerage systems and lines.
• Repairs and maintains all sewerage pipes and fresh water pipes.
• Repairs broken pipes.
• Checks that team members clean pumps and grids.
• Cleans Pumps by removing the sand and dirt.
• Checks that pumps are properly replaced.
• Repair meters
• Allocates minor tasks to team members and give appropriate instructions.
• Checks that the outside areas at the pump station are cleaned.
• Any works assigned by supervisor

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 certificate with;  
• Certificate Level 3 in Plumbing & Pipe fitting or equivalent qualification;
• Completion of apprenticeship;
•  And at least 2 years relevant working experience and Knowledge of water supply and sewerage systems and plumbing in a Technical Environment of Local Authority or related organizations.
• Drivers license (Code B)
