Opportunity | Duty Description


The above-mentioned position is vacant at FP du Toit Transport Group. FP du Toit Transport has been in existence since 1968 and have diversified over time from a solely long-haul operation to one which now includes Pro Parcel (a part-load and distribution operation), Jet.X Couriers (an express road and air courier service) as well as Wesbank Transport (a full-load and abnormal division).

This is in line with our strategy to offer our clients a complete range of services to satisfy all their logistical requirements. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compile, maintain and update employee records, including leave administration (hard and soft copies)
• Responsible for the recruitment process (Including NIEIS advertising, short listing, and interviewing)
• Payroll administration of 350+ employees (monthly/weekly and 3rd party payment requisitions) • Pension fund administration (new entrants and withdrawals)
• Medical Aid administration (new members, amendments, and terminations)
• Co-ordinate employee wellness and engagement programs within the Group
• Training and development (Maintaining a training register, succession planning and VET/SDL claims)
• Any other duties required by the Group Human Resources Manager 


Opportunity or Duty Requirement(s)


THE SUITABLE APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

• A valid Grade 12 certificate (minimum 30 points)
• Diploma/Degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR environment; or 8 years applied experience in an HR environment
• Knowledge of the Namibian and South African Labour Statutes and other HR Compliance laws
• Knowledge of Sage VIP (Premier) will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Jarrison will be an added advantage
• Advance level of Computer skills (MS Office)
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities and able to work according to strict deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A high level of accuracy and a high regard for attention to detail
• The ability to effectively work with a diverse workforce
• Professional and confident attitude with a high regard for confidentiality
• Valid Namibian driver’s license with sober habits
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to take own initiative
