Restaurant/Assistant Managers

Overall Purpose of the Job:
The manager is responsible for leading department-level restaurant operations; models and demonstrates leadership. Successful performance is measured by consistent delivery of balanced results through our systems, methods and procedures from the perspective of all our stakeholders. Lead and inspire a team to help the company to accomplish the company mission every day.

Candidate Profile:
• Stationed in Swakopmund, or willing to move to Swakopmund
• Own transport
• Must be dependable, responsible, reliable and motivated
• Sober social habits
• Strong communication skills
• Proud, friendly and positive attitude
• Must have the ability to work under pressure
• Problem identification and solving skills
• Strong computer literacy
• Desire and capacity to build good interpersonal relationships
• Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a team
• Problem identification and problem solving skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
• Performance orientated
• Experience as a manager in the hospitality and/or food and beverage industry of at least 3 years
• Willing to work flexible hours, which include night shifts and no leave during peak times, including but not limited to Christmas and Easter
• Must have the ability to stand, sit squat or walk for extended periods of time
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Stock control – daily stock taking, stock ordering and stock management
• Culinary excellence and customer service
• Development and management of team
• Uncompromising quality and dedication to restaurant profit performance, service excellence and thoughtful leadership
• Adherence to health, safety, food safety and alcohol consumption regulations
• Ability to prioritize work responsibilities; to include selection, discipline and other aspects of staff management
