Opportunity | Duty Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult, train and provide advice on specific Merchant products.
  • Installation and servicing of POS devices
  • Manage integrated roll-outs and E-commerce set ups
  • Ensure ongoing availability within the SLA requirements.
  • Ensure maximum exploitation/usage of the product features across multiple business initiatives.
  • Management and execution of the non-dial up report.
  • Responsible for safe custodianship and reporting of the merchant devices/stock.
  • Present to stakeholders on any impact or change to merchant devices/products.
  • Meet client needs by presenting to stakeholders on the usage of merchant products, through training, maintenance and advice.
  • Provide stakeholders with business information on product performance.
  • Become a trusted consultant to clients by providing trust worthy information and guidance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide advice on best demonstrated practice for Merchant Acquiring products.
  • Provide support on Merchant product issues and resolve POS queries within SLA timelines.
  • Document and maintain documents relevant to specific products.
  • Assist with the alignment of merchant products road map to strategic policies and procedures through maintenance.
  • Ensure implementation/installation is aligned to compliance and legislation.
  • Propose/provide ideas for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
  • Provide technical mentoring related to specific merchant acquiring products.
  • Ensure implementation of Merchant devices to Nedbank environment and legislative requirements by reviewing and advising on Product or Technology specific standards.
  • Partake in Merchant Acquiring product testing and stays abreast of changes related to the products.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Grade 12 with 25 Points
  • Must have at least two (2) years banking experience with knowledge of merchant acquiring and basic technical support of POS devices will be an added advantage.
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access).
  • Required to work after hours (Standby).
  • Valid driver’s licence
